Introduction

Jimmy Jib Vistas are based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The team comprises Josh Close, Guy Smith and Eric Close.  Between them they have more than 45 years experience of working in the TV and Film industry. During this time they have acquired a wealth of creative knowledge and expertise, alongside our camera and grips skills.
Anyone can point a camera, but it is the skill, vision, creativity and artistic ability an individual has when operating the camera that can deliver a certain style, look and interpretation to a project.

Info

The skilled operation of a Jimmy Jib gives an added dimension to filming, and allows the viewer to see the world from a different perspective.
The use of a Jimmy Jib opens up endless opportunities for imaginative and creative camera work. The Jib allows the operator to crane the camera up or down, vertically, or in a diagonal plane, swing it laterally about the Jib’s horizontally-swivelling mount, and pan and tilt – all at the same time if required.
Even in static shots the Jib is extremely versatile and useful. It can film from a very high viewpoint, or a very low one, giving an additional dimension to filming which would not otherwise be available.
